Next Meeting:
From 5:30- 6:30 pm, members may purchase dinner, swap or sell items and share stories. At 6:30 pm there will be a brief business meeting followed by a guest speaker. A topical "show n' tell" after guest speaker.

The latest KCMCC member's display at Richard Warren Middle School in Leavenworth is the first ever public display in Leavenworth about the Mexican War. Items for the 8th graders to seeinclude a 3-pound cannon ball fired from Fort Leavenworth across the Missouri River in 1846 or 1847 and dug up by a Missouri farmer in the early 1980s. Fort Leavenworth, then only 20 years old, was a major training ground for U.S. troops who then marched south into northern Mexico for the war. This is the third historical display KCMCC has provided at the school, with afourth planned for later this year

  • To promote and perpetuate the collecting of all forms of militaria.
  • To further the understanding and appreciation of militaria through meetings, displays, and shows.
  • To create new friendships and encourage shared learning among collectors in the various fields of militaria.

  • Who can join the KCMCC?
    Anyone who is interested in militaria. Most members are collectors, but this is not a requirement
  • Does the KCMCC have regular meetings?
    It meets the first Monday of each month at the Westport Bar and Grill, 817 Westport Road, KCMO, beginning at 5:30 pm with a social hour..
  • What happens at the monthly meetings?
    From 5:30-6:30 pm, members may purchase dinner and participate in a social hour. At 6:30 pm there will be a brief business meeting, a talk with Q & A by a club member or guest speaker. Then a topical show n tell after the guest speaker.
  • Any other activities?
    The club sponsors two military shows each year, in April and November. In September, we hold a day long display show at one of the Mid-Continent Public libraries
  • What is the annual cost to be a member?
    First year dues are $25.00 and $15.00 per year after that. Table rental at shows is $25 for 8-0 table & $20 for each 6-0 table.
  • Why should I join?
    To begin knowing club members, sharing their vast knowledge and expertise, and gathering for kindred fellowship and to enhance your collection.
